Open PSP8 go to file, click on open, and select the picture you want to use.

I'm using a picture of Lindsay Lohan, you can right click and save it and use it too if you want.

Once you have your picture opened right click on it and select copy.

Right click somewhere in the grey, just not on the picture and paste as a new image.

Now you should have 2 of the same picture showing.

Up top click on image, then Decrease Color Depth, then select 2 colors (1 bit)

Make sure Grey values is selected in the first column and Order dithered is selected in the second column then click OK

Now right click on the grey picture and select copy and minimize it.

Right click on your original image and select paste as a new layer.

On your layers pallet drag the arrow till your opacity is around 20 or to wherever you like it.
