First of all.....
Poppa Zoppa, OK you might not remember the game or ever played it but it was the best online game AOL ever had. It's been gone for about five years now and pogo.com has brought it back. OK, what peeves me about this is that you have to register to play it, I'm already registered at pogo, I have been for years but now they want a credit card number to play the game that used to be free! And the only reason I even know that pogo has it it because a friend of mine told me about it and she said it sucked now.
Here's another one.....why can't people link back? I've recently started surfing the web again, I don't do it much but I've found so many sites that so obviously used my stuff for their site and there is no link to be found.
1-800 numbers. Yeah I gotta bytch about them. I'm trying to call Time Warner the other day about my cable bill and I finally get to talk to a person and then I can't understand a damn word they are saying! Do they deliberately hire people from foreign countries to answer their phones? And NO, I did not punch in the wrong number on the keypad to get English! My mother-in-law gets twice as many stations than I do and she pays half the price. I tried to explain this to the foreign person I was speaking to but she didn't seem to understand what I was saying. But the worst one of all is the phone company! For starters, you CAN'T even find their number in the phone book! And don't even try to call them on your cell phone because "they don't do that"! I waited for at least 20 minutes, going through all the options, and not one of them was for what I was calling about. After pressing 0 over and over again I finally got to a person. I tried to explain to her that my phone was switched with my neighbors phone and she was like "that can't be" and I was like "well it is". She was like "you must be mistaken" and I was like "uhm....NO! I've already talked to my neighbor and while I was at her house I got a phone call!" She was like "It'll be at least 48 hours before we can send someone out to check your phone line and if it's a problem within your house then you'll be charged". I was like "48 HOURS! I have to do without my phone for 48 hours because your people screwed it up in the first place! And it's not inside my house! Have you been listening to what I've been telling you! My line is switched with my neighbors!" And she is like "well that just doesn't happen". And I'm like "have you been listening to me"? At this point my neighbor gets on the phone saying the exact same thing to her. And she says "I see you do not use Bellsouth, so we can not fix your problem." PROBLEM! OMG! So I get back on the phone and I say "I'm a Bellsouth customer and the only reason she is having this problem is because I'm a Bellsouth customer!" Two days later......someone finally comes out and discovers that it is "their" problem and within minutes they fix it.
Fast food restaurants....OK, I know that these people are only paid minimum wage and work harder than most any other people, I've worked fast food myself so I really do know. BUT.......How come when I order 4 meals, 3 plain and 1 normal and that's just the way I state it to them, usually twice, when I get home, all 4 freaking orders are plain!
DOWN SIZING........Ten years ago it took five people to do the job that today I'm having to do by myself! The work load has not decreased but I'm expected to do the work of five people all by myself and without a pay raise! Customers constantly complain about having to wait in line but the company turns a deaf ear to this. Corporate America doesn't seem to care about the people anymore. All they care about is buying their newest car or latest vacation house at our expense! If I was ever given a chance to meet these people and given the chance to speak my mind without the any worry about losing my job, OMG, What a day that would be! Speaking of down sizing, where are my children supposed to find jobs? Now a days even a college degree does not insure you of a good paying job. I work with people who have graduated from college and are making less money than me, doing the same job as me, but there is no jobs available in their career choice.
Wal-Mart! Does anyone remember when Wal-Mart was the place to shop cheap? Not anymore. And the super centers are the worst. I can drive 20 minutes in either direction to get to a Wal-Mart, and the one that isn't a super store has items so much cheaper that the one that is. OH, and why do they think that once a year they need to re-arrange the isles. It's not gonna make me buy more! As a matter of fact, since they re-arranged everything my grocery bill has actually decreased by about $50 a week. If I don't see it I'm sure the hell not gonna go looking for it!
